If you're looking for a sweet love story and a quick read, this is it. However, if you're looking for a story with some depth and complex characters, keep it moving.

Admittedly, I did not read the other 2 books in this sequel, but I don't think I missed anything. Apparently, Alana and Roland had met before and Roland knew he was in love with Alana at first sight. It wasn't long before he was calling her honey and professing his love.

Alana was still grieving over her deceased husband and had been dodging Roland for some time but we really didn't get to see much of her elusiveness. It seems it only took one night for him to break down her precariously constructed walls and then it was full steam ahead from there.

One point of contention is that much was made of the characters' looks - almost to the point of making Roland seem conceited.

Again, I give it 3 stars for the sweetness of the story, but I feel like this is not the Melanie Schuster I'm used to reading. The writing was formulaic and predictable, which makes me no longer interested.

This book Let me hold you, was a great read. I've been reading Melanie Schuster books for years & I've never been disappointed yet. I'm looking forward to your next book coming in the spring Melanie, you keep writing & I'll keep reading.
I absolutely loved the story of Alana and Roland. These books make you feel that there is your perfect match just out there somewhere waiting. I recommend this book to everyone who loves romance novels.
Great Book! There are two other books related to this book you should read first. This is an awesome story on how two sisters and a friend find love unintentionally. It just proves love is not a color. These are the type of men every women dream about. I recommend this book to everyone. This is my first time reading any books by Melanie Schuster and I am fascinated. I'm not a big super reader but when I find a good book it's on. Don't want to ruin the stories by giving you to much feedback but read the book, you'll find out for yourself.
One of the things I love about Melanie's writing, besides her wit, is she always introduces new songs and groups, brings back old songs and groups, introduces poetry and books. Alabama Shake? Who knew? The girl is just all that! This book is typical. Melanie. You'll laugh a lot, cry a little and wiggle in your seat as you read the umhum. Romanc sections. Great job can't wait for the next one. Will have to read this again to pick up the little nuances I missed in my excitement. Oh did I say she's from Michigan as so many of the greats are?
Wow, this novel was pure romance. Wish there were men like Roland. He wined,dined, cooked, nursed, gifted, dated, sexed, pampered and loved the he'll out , Alana . My dream romance.I've been married 29 years and I know he isn't my soul mate, nor does he have a romantic bone or brain cell in his body. We are polar opposites. I read romance stories so I may live vicariously through the characters. Lol
This book was also good. Yet, of the three couples I read about in this series, Alexis and Jared, Lucas and Sherri, Alana and Roland, my favorite couple is Alexis and Jared. They are sexy and loving, insync. I did however, love the storyline regarding Alana finding true love again with Roland after the tragic end to her first marriage. I loved it when Roland happily informed her "we're pregnant". A good read, worth the purchase. I am looking forward to reading Emily and Todd's story, Chemistry of Desire, next.
